Re: im thinking of getting a beardie

They are wonderful pets. Need a big tank (40 gal breeder is the minimum).Use slate tiles not sand. You need uvb the length of the tank and a basking area. Also even though they rarely hide, they need one for each side (hot side and cold side) of the tank. A big but fairly shallow water bowl, a bowl for their salads.
They need more time commitment than any of my other reptiles. But my beardie is also very interactive. They also eat a lot compared to my other reptiles.

Re: im thinking of getting a beardie

Ask specific questions that the basic care sheets conflict or don't cover. Or an experience question. You will get plenty of help when you do that.

Are you serious?? You got your answer with a good link. The problem is people come on here and ask your question once a week so people don't want to type out the same thing they did a week ago. No need for you to be upset or rude.
The link has all the info you need. Beardies are great. Good luck.

Apologies....maybe I should be clearer....I don't keep, and have no experience with, beardies. I did notice however that another person had a similar request and posted a link to it.

I have no issues either typing or engaging in dialogue, however as stated above, when the search function could provide you threads which give all the answers you need then it may be sensible to use that first.......

Re: im thinking of getting a beardie

If that sounded rude I am sorry. People come on here a lot asking people to type out care sheets for them. It gets annoying because maybe instead people could ask for links to good care sheets. I have written care sheets before and I have spent 5+ hours on them.

Re: im thinking of getting a beardie

All of that is in the link provided above.
I use lights and no uth. On a timer with no heat at night just ambient room temp.
Very easy to care for.
