Re: New With a Question :)

Another question.

I have another cage I am in the process of building right now. I am going to use a Ceramic Bulb as the heat source. Is there a specific thermostat that is recommended for these? I have heard great reviews from people using this: Amazon.com: Hydrofarm MTPRTC Digital Thermostat For Heat Mats: Patio, Lawn & Garden

Will that work with the bulb even though it states it is for a heat pad?

i would use a dimming stat or a pulse stat

when i've used on off stats,i found that you don't get as long out the ceramic bulb, they tend to blow

i use microclimate dimming thermostats and microclimate pulse thermostats with all my pythons

i preffer to use thermostats specifically designed for reptiles mate

cheers shaun
