thats epic! how big would you say that snake was?! ive seen alot of shows on anacondas (discovery channel, nat geo wild, etc. etc.) but NEVER have I seen one that big. Thats incredible!

That's awesome. Two of the coolest things...snakes and diving! Hubby is like "omg let's do that" lol
Wonder what's to keep them from striking under water. I would trust a shark more than a snake underwater *lol*

I would venture that green would be 18-20ft, but I don't quite have the eye for it yet. I'm getting better.
As far as what's to keep it from striking, I dunno, It really is the apex predator down there, I highly doubt it felt any sort of threat from a few humans. Def wasn't hungry, you can see the bulge from the pictures of it on land at the end of the video.. I believe its the same snake.

Amazing video. That just insane. Size i agree with Kyle 18 -20Ft. As for striking under water i would think it would drown if it did. In opening their month and striking their throat would open up to letting water flood into it's lung.(just my guess)

I am sure they can hold the end of their windpipe closed. Have no doubt a green anaconda could strike you under water. But. You don't look like prey or smell like prey and a snake that size won't be to afraid of anything so I doubt it would. Maybe if it was starving. It does say you can find out how to live that adventure in the video. Go find out

It's just a myth that snakes can't strike under water. Most can! :O lol

That's what I thought as well. A snake with the size of a full grown green is gonna have to live a good portion of its life in water and strike from that position.

As a Certified Diver I have been on quite a few dives, and Im Sorry, But that is one Ballsy Diver. Down there you couldn't put up Any sort of fight and your friends couldn't get him off you. You would not catch me Anywhere near a green that size under the surface.
