well then how often would you recomend feeding him?? Right now i feed him once a week. Do you think i should just feed him a small rat once every other week??

Yup! For an 8yr old, every other week is the best feeding schedule to avoid obesity. So I'd go for a better sized meal every other week.

well thanks for the info

. I just fed him yesterday and i got 3 or 4 more mice left. I'm going to keep feeding him once a week until i'm out of the mice. After they are gone i'll buy some small mice and start feeding him every other week.
