Great shedding pics!! I've never caught mine in the action like that!!
Also, that mouse looks like it's too small for a meal...?

Thank you I've owned him for 8 years and this is the first time i've seen him shed. I fed him his mouse and put him in his cage and he started shedding. After he got done shedding he stayed out and explored the cage all day and night, which is weird because i rarely ever see him out of his hide. and you think i'm feeding him mice to small?? They are full grown mice. I feed him one once a week. I guess i could upgrade to baby rats. The pet store was out of mice once and he did fine with them. You think i should go to baby rats??

MY adult corn takes XL mice, once every 14 days or so, you dont want them getting fat as adults but i like to give him something that stretches him out a bit. The mice workout about twice his girth.

Yup, I think that mouse is too small for him. He could easily go up to an XL mouse. Or a small rat that's the right size for him. It should be 1.5 times his girth (the largest part of his body).

Yup! For an 8yr old, every other week is the best feeding schedule to avoid obesity. So I'd go for a better sized meal every other week.

well thanks for the info . I just fed him yesterday and i got 3 or 4 more mice left. I'm going to keep feeding him once a week until i'm out of the mice. After they are gone i'll buy some small mice and start feeding him every other week.

Re: snakey shedding & eating :)

I would move him up to xl mice. Small rats would be the right size but an xl mouse would be a more nutritionally sound meal since the mouse would be mature. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a gtp thread on another forum where people fed gtps mice for this very reason. A small rat is much more fatty than an adult mouse. It looks like you're doing fine though, thats a great looking cornsnake to me.
