imo,it's best to have a thermostat for EACH tank

if you have 1 stat running 2 tanks.....

if the tank with the thermostats PROBE suffers a heat source FAILURE,then.....

the probe will NOT heat up.....

so the 2ND tank run by that thermostat, will heat up to its maximum possible temperature, because the probe will remain cold in the tank with a broken heat source,this.....

will kill the snake in the 2ND tank mate

the above is my personal opinion,as i would always give each tank it's OWN stat, for peace of mind that i won't cook a snake.(not being cheeky)

cheers shaun
then that is what i will do.. i am just worried i wont have any place to put the thermostat probe i didnt leave a space for it...

its wooden vivariums i use

i just drill a hole in the back of the tank to feed the probe through into the tank

i then attatch the probe cable to the back of the tank, securing the probe where its needed

cheers shaun
