General Discussion - PLEASE read.
Please post species specific discussions in the correct forum.
General discussion is for off topic stuff.
If your BP did something cute/amazing/boring or whatever, the correct place to post is "Python Regius"
We have forums for almost any herp / pet you may own.
Almost daily folks are posting things in "General Discussion" that could very well go in the species specific forums.
THANKS!!!!!

Re: General Discussion - PLEASE read.
Wayne I think people miss the point of the "general discussion" thread becasue it's placed first, so a newcomer might assume it's general discussion about snakes.
Maybe the forums which are meant for snake discussion should be on top being this is a snake forum...

Although your logic makes sense, virtually every forum I know of has the off topic stuff at the top of the list.
It's not that I mind moving things around, just hope to reduce the frequency a bit.

Re: General Discussion - PLEASE read.
Or you could rename the section as "Off-Topic Discussions" or something along those lines so it's not as inviting as "General Discussions" on a reptile forum (which leads people to think that it's a place for general discussions ABOUT reptiles). If you label the forum as "Off-Topic Discussions" or "Misc. Discussions" or something like that, it might eliminate some of the confusion

This sounds like a good idea.
Can you change forum names Wayne?
