Re: Why won't some sellers sell females by themselves?
I actually very rarely see places offer sexed snakes singly without some sort of rules unless it's someone selling individual specimens rather than clutches.
Another thing I have to add is that in most scenarios you can use a male with several females, so the demand for females is greater, giving another reason for them needing to get rid of the males. Some places will charge more for the females to help get around this instead of requiring pairs. Some places won't sell them sexed unless specifically asked (and then they charge a fee) and sell off most the males first.
I found it strange when pricing out ball morphs that the males go for so much more, it seems so backwards to me, but I guess since many of the morphs are dominant, if you get one nice male (for a price) you can get a bazillion cheap normal females (exaggerating) and still have some awesome clutches all from the single male.
