My New Squaretails :) *pic heavy*

First up is the male - he's got these really sweet flecks of blue/green mixed in with the pastel that the camera won't pick up, along with the pink hues that, as you all know, are very difficult if not sometimes impossible to accurately capture. The female SCREAMS with pink and peach hues, the pics really don't do her justice, sadly. But here they are anyway

Re: My New Squaretails :) *pic heavy*

And here's the female:

I can't wait to see her grow - I have been told that squaretails' colours only intensify as they mature, contrary to how many morphs tend to "muddy up", and this lady's mum is one of the reddest boas at the breeder's facility, so I was told. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how she turns out. Thanks for looking!

square tails? They look like commons to me?

Are they het Roswell?

The first one would prob be described as a circleback, and is extremely pretty.

Those are very beautiful! I can't wait until we can get one. Although I think I still want one of the babies you will be making with the Salmon..

Where did you purchase these, those don't look like anything more then a slightly reduced pattern bci. Good-looking boas

Thank you both! Well, I thought they were squaretails as I purchased them from a reputable breeder, Urban Reptile, at the last expo. They told me all about squaretails, the European line of pastel, and I took their word for it. Oh, and when I showed them to Tom Burke at the show, he imediately identified them as squaretails, if that says anything. But I welcome your opinions, as I have no experience with squaretails, and only know as much as I was told by the breeders who produced them, and what little I found through my google searches. Whatever they are, I absolutely adore them though, I think they are gorgeous pastels who will only produce cleaner, brighter pastels later on.

Re: My New Squaretails :) *pic heavy*

I have trouble with squaretail morph- sometimes it's really hard to tell if the saddles aren't distinctly squared off. The last picture you posted is definitely squaretail, but in the one stretched out the saddles look too round. As long as you have a guarantee on the genetics, I wouldn't worry too much. If anything turns out to be an issue later, call out the seller.

Urban Reptile is a very, very reputable breeder. If you are second guessing the genetics of the snakes, send pics to Urban reptile to re confirm.

Oh, I agree! They have one of the best reputations out there and I trust them implicitly. We had a very long convo in person, about those squaretails, with them in hand - I have no doubt personally. They also told me they are the only producers in Canada, and if you check out urbanboa.com, you can see the squaretails that I bought, even albino squaretails. Perhaps there is simply a lot of variation in that morph.

Regardless of whether or not they're true squaretails, they're HOT! Sweet pickups, Kat!
