egg laying boa

Passing on some info I found interesting did u know ther are three boa that lay eggs the calabar the arabian sand boa and west african sand boa all erycines

ive heard something along those lines and that there are a couple python species with live birth how true that one is im not sure of is an interesting thought though isnt it?

It is neat the calabar was originally a part of the python family but this was changed after further research

I had no idea. It's sort of like the platypus being the only egg laying mammal. Why are they classified as boas though?

Echidnas are also monotremes (egg laying mammals).
