Welcome! We're glad to hear that you are getting back into keeping reptiles!

I like your screen name too....now we just need an "enthalpy!"

so its not lack of pattern entropy is reffering to

its the whole thermodynamic quantity in atomic structure thing then ??

welcome to the forum you have been a member for a long time

i'm really glad you begun to post

i'm sure there will be plenty suggestions as to which snakes have better temprements

usually i would suggest a carpet python but they may be rather larger than what you fancy keeping

i wish you all the best in your quest for a first snake

i'm sure you'll have fun looking

cheers shaun

Shaun, I'm not sure which entropy he's referring to, but I'm an engineer and had to make that comment! It sounds like you are versed in thermodynamics though!

i wish mate

my head was too full of carry on at the school i'm afraid (long long time ago)

i am however very versed in getting folk to bite mate (school of life, haha)

joking aside

i love scientists and their amazing intellect and understanding of what does what

i spend most my tv time on the documentary channels

also reasearching all sorts of wierd and wonderfull stuff

i do admire folk like your good self mate

people with the drive and commitment to take their passion to the very top level

i hope your not offended by my scottish sense of humor

it can be an aquired taste at times

all the best shaun

before the op puts us out our misery ....

could the number 5 be relevant to answering which type of entropy he's reffering to ????

its definitely more your field mate

cheers shaun

Thanks for the kind words Shaun! We all have our passions, with one of them being these lovely creatures we call snakes!

I'm thinking the 5 isn't relevant to the thermodynamic definition of entropy, but my engineering focus is modeling/materials/manufacturing.

entropy5 please help Shaun and I with your name!

Re: long time lurker first time poster

Sorry for the delay.

My user name refers to this: " entropy (ntr-p)
A measure of the amount of energy in a physical system not available to do work. As a physical system becomes more disordered, and its energy becomes more evenly distributed, that energy becomes less able to do work." Referring to the amount of time and energy lost surfing the interwebz. The 5 means there were already 4 entropys registered @gmail. Deep huh? lol

The fox snake looked like this link from reptile reptile's post

Elaphe gloydi - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Definitely not the second.

Thanks for the welcome.
