broadened scales as sign of the overweight

Hello.
If a snake had very broadened scales so its skin is visible you can definitely say the snake has overweight. But what about the color of scales? Scales of my carpet are yellow-brown, but I can see borders of the color. I think those yellow borders must be under closed scales and this is a sign of a little bit the overweight.
What do you say?

I don't think you have any issue there. Appears to be at a healthy weight.
