I really love the species though, used to see them quite a lot and at one point collected about 20 or so from a single stream in France (literally over the distance of about 200 meters, there were so many of them at that place).

The babies are currently feeding on pieces of trout and pinkies. Its precisely because they are not massively popular that I like them too  . My kind of snake - been looking for one for a few months.
