That would definitely work better. I'd personally do 74 ambient with an 84 hot spot. It's a very forgiving species so see what works for you and go for it.

my friend also said she hasn't eaten for him in 3 weeks. You got any ideas for that problem?

How long has he/she had the milk? Is it an adult? What are it's temps/humidity and what has your friend tried? What's it used to eating? Could be a number of things of which I would need answers to all of the above to help out a bit. If it's an adult, it may be refusing food because of breeding season.
