Awesome wife, accommodating builder

We are in the process of building a new house. My wife "suggests" that the snakes not be in my study, so she talks w the builder and they figure out a solution. The builder looked at us a little funny when we asked for a separate room, but he moved stuff around and figured it out. So, in April (May?), I will have a dedicated room for my buddies!

Awesome! Congrats! I will say that having a dedicated room is sooooo nice. But, don't think for a second you won't have an enclosure in your 'other' spaces lol.

I got a separate room so they wouldn't all have to be in my bedroom....well....now I have all of my creaties and garg in my bedroom lol.

Awesome!

My husband also suggested a dedicated room for my snakes. He's a keeper.

Never did I imagine that like Minkness, I would fill that room and cages would start appearing in other parts of the house.

You might want to make the room larger, just in case....

Re: Awesome wife, accommodating builder

A prerequisite of our next house is a dedicated space for my reptiles. We've found somewhere we like that has a semi converted that we are very keen on. Just waiting for the finances to fall into place.

That's a real accomplishment on having your own house built! Great news. Your personal reptile room is the best. Congrats.

Reptiles have a tendency to creep into any area of the house you can get away with. I'm constantly improving the space efficiency of my reptile room but somehow another room and a walk in closet is full too

Re: Awesome wife, accommodating builder

Nice change, any other custom features for that room? I'd ask for more dedicated circuits in that room instead of sharing with the rest of the house.

House also going to be pre-wired w Generac natural gas generator so no interruptions if electricity goes out.

Re: Awesome wife, accommodating builder

Now that's a setup for all weather. I don't have power outages around here too often as my power lines are buried. I do have a natural gas fireplace so I know I have a heat source in winter.

Nice! I'm a lot bit jealous! LOL
Congrats on the new house, and good luck on moving the old one.

If you don't sell it, you could have a separate snake house?!
