Re: My first GTP

All depends on the type of cage you have, if glass , the suction cup work nicely, and usually these cages come with a screen top. passing zip ties in the mesh to hold onto the vines works well, and...

if you have the pvc pipes for perches that sometimes come with the cages, they might be too big for your GTP.
best is to...

Re: I was wondering/retic question.

I would say it depends on the type of retic as well, if mainland the longer the better, but as Dave said, 4ft deep is deep.. but if it's a super dwarf and the female only gets to be 8ft long then a...

Re: My first GTP

88 is a good temp for GTPs , you will need to change the cage for something that's 24" high at some point. a good cage is 24" cube but the exo cages 24x28x24 work too, just need to cover the top...

Re: So 3 Injections Later and It's Only Gotten Worse

I will also agree with bumping the temps a little, NOT the hot spot that's ok where it is , but get the ambient temps to 85... no low spot under that. the snake needs warmth to get better but a sick...

Re: Need some help with ETB baby

as jpsteele80 mentioned, an exo terra isn't the best of choices. it can work but modifications are needed.
the ideal cages are PVC with a radiant heat panel. here's a few pictures of some of my ETb...

Re: Need some help with ETB baby

seal off the top completely and only leave an opening for the heat emitter.
the top perch try and get max 85 at that spot...

Re: Snake cages of expanded PVC sheet?

The XPVC sells under the name Sintra or komatek, comes in 4x8 sheets and you can get the 1/4" or 3/8"
the material makes awesome cages and many pro-builders use it for their cages.
I own and also...

Re: Where to buy Amazon basin ETB and comparison to others

I would start by saying that you should do as much homework and research on them as possible before jumping in. They are for the more experienced owners, not that it can't be done, but you will need...

as Aaron said, the false bottom with a good 2" of gravel or the clay balls you get in hydroponic stores is ideal, the excess water builds up as it drains trough the substrate,
your plants will root...

even with the exo canopies that cover most of the top !! if you have...

Re: Who uses hides in their tub/rack systems?

I also give hides to all of them, one on each side.. and they all use them no exceptions..
the safety it gives them, to me is imprtant.. and i'm sure they feel the same way..
