Re: Grow Tents for Large Snakes?

I'd just build one t.b.h, a growth tent sounds a little odd to keep a snake in? not very pretty either. Besides the issues of it being strong enough, If they lunge at you (and miss) in a pvc or...

Re: Unpredictable Eating

I'd never feed a snake 2 prey animals if there are larger prey animals available, if one isn't enough just feed him a slightly bigger meal. Do you handle him?

Re: My 2 month old purchased corn snake won't eat mice since I bought it, Trying eggs

Not to mention not eating for 2 weeks is fairly normal, they can go months without food. It doesn't sound like you know what you're doing.. You're depriving it of water so it HAS to drink egg? You're...

Re: Stinky retic

Don't bathe snakes in warm water, luke warm water at most. If it feels warm to your hands its warmer than their body temperature would normally be. But yes a bath would help with the smell. :)

Re: She died.

The green spot is caused by the gallbladder, it's quite common for it to be turn green after passing. This animal may have been a case of failure to thrive, either way the green spot is not the cause...

Re: People who own Big Snakes What is your Favorite part?

I like many sized species, liking retics and burms is not based on size for me...For me it's not the size it's the species, I like a superdwarf retic just as much as a mainland. Retics are amazing...

Re: wobble

It does sound like a genetic wobble, she could have a happy life but I would strongly advise not to breed with her.

Re: Plants/Flowers

Most plants will get smushed by heavier bodied snakes, Though I had ferns that survived quite some time. You could look into sturdy grass species, like papyrus. Those need to be kept with a layer of...

I woulnd't handle the animal untill it is a reliable eater, also Rat pups are generally too small of a prey for a green anaconda. Do you have experience with giants?

Re: new ball python owner

First of all welcome, yes a wobble can be so mild that their head sways a bit, but it can be so bad an animal contorts its entire body and will have grave difficulty eating. I personally (No matter...

Re: Snake eat something too big?

Snakes who recently ate are often abit more snappy, I don't think you should take the animal for the vet for something so common.
