Odd feeder....

Our female jungle carpet is a weird feeder, she attacks the mouse right away, constricts for awhile, then lets go. Then if I offer the mouse to her again she doesn't even constrict, just swallows. The male grabs the mouse, constricts, and swallows the prey.

Does anyone else have a female like that?

I used to have a snake like that, a female but not a carpet. She'd never constrict as a baby, just eat stuff because it seemed to be in her way :p

Out of 158 this year, I'd say over 100 did that at least once. It is HIGHLY common.

It has nothing do with being a female carpet.

Yah I never thought it had any thing to do with the sex, funny little guys but no bother :)
