Sometimes there's a pause between the first and second egg in a clutch, sure.

the 1st lay is mostly 1 egg only
then it's 2 egg evey 2-4 weeks.
1st are sometime infertils so just wait before saying your incubator is the fault.
um ok my leo layed two eggs both fertile and about two hours later same with my other gravid female I also know that first clutches are known to be infertal and I would never blame the bator.

was just in case you didn't know, but many fem. are known to lay
only 1 eggs each beginning of the breeding season like to "test"
I have never heard of that I wasonly aware that there was a single egg clutch the first time and it has never happend after the first breeding season to mine. I bought a three year old proven breeder off of BigDan and she hasnt EVER had a single egg clutch.

My female just laid 2 eggs, her first clutch. I'm hoping they're fertile.

I agree, I have never heard of a leo laying one egg at the beginning of the season unless it was her first time ever laying. I have had many female leos that were new breeders over the last 3 years and only had one lay a single egg in her first clutch. I guess I have been lucky as well because I have only lost a couple first clutch eggs to infertility. And most of the time it is one of the two eggs laid, not both. ;) Last year I sold 3 first time breeders to a couple people and these geckos had been with my males before they were sold and laid a single clutch for me and gave the new owners 6-10 more babies each. Not bad for first year breeders! :)
