Hello, I just received my first snake today, a baby San Matias Rosy Boa. From reading posts from you guys I know that you like pictures so I will upload some as soon as the forum lets me.

Looks like I can post pics now, Kisses appears to be 13 inches long.

wow the colors are amazing what a cute face I always thought round faced snakes are super cute

I dont feed it in the sand dross no risk of impaction

Yeah, but when I tried sand on my sand boas, I didn't feed them in the cage either. They still got in between their lips and teeth, and I'd have to restrain them once a week to routinely (and very gently) clean out the sand with a q-tip. Not to mention it's expensive and heavy, and a pain to clean out when the time comes for your first substrate change.
All in all, NOT worth it for me.

I will make careful observations and see what happens Tiny, if I do notice sand in my Rosys nose area I will switch substrates, I wanted to try it first but I do know of the anti sand sentiment.
