Very active, and fat...

Hydra has been really active lately....scratching the corners of her cage, especially while "standing up"

I don't know much about leopard gecko breeding etc ....I really don't think she is gravid but I took a few pics of her belly just in case because that would explain her recent behaviour. Or if she is not gravid maybe she is just being a weird. lol

My girl does that occationally. I had her in an aquarium untill a little while ago and every now and then she would dig in the corner(paper towel substrate?) and try to climb the glass. Cute litte buggers

Yeah she does it a little more than occasionally, more like every night lately. Maybe it's time for a bigger enclosure.

Well the eggs would not be fertile as she is our only leopard gecko, she hasn't laid any eggs before but she is at that age so I am a little curious. Either way she does have a humid hide with eco earth in it just in case.

I don't know..
I have as much experience as you do Marisa......
and I have no idea why I have leos in my collection too..
but I have 5 females....and 2 of them does the exact same that your little one is doing....
don't know why this is....but I guess they want to get out for a reason?

Don't know....I don't have enough experience with the leos ....

so I guess I'd better keep my comments back on the corns....LOL!!

Mine do that at night, usually when i'm up and about. It's like thier screaming to me "HOLD ME". If i stick my hand in the cage they immediatly walk over to it, if i don't then they usually give up in 30 mins.

I observe my geckos all the time so i can usually tell the signs. My girls don't climb the side when they are getting ready to lay, instead they start to kick all the eco earth from the clam bowl.

She is, or at least has been, quite shy. She doesn't respond to us at all really unless I missed feeding day. Then she might venture out due to our movements. So like when she is up the side, if I was to open to and put my hand in, she could care less about going out of the enclosure, and most of the time simply walks into her hide until I leave. LOL.

I am planning on putting her in a 40 gallon or something soon hopefully to give her much more roaming space.

I've seen it many times. My thinking is that they don't understand glass. They don't see anything but yet they can't get move past it. It's something along the lines of 'I can't see it so it's not there'. Seems to me they keep trying to walk through the non-existent barrier and eventually give up.
