Re: Prehensility in the tails of Varanids (Monitor Lizards)

Tell that to Molly, who once got stuck in a shallow box.

Aspen shavings are not good substrate for a snake that likes humidity.

Re: some of the tree boas

Like I said, species by species. I'm down to about a third of my original collection still inside my home.

Re: Flesh-Eating Bugs

You're welcome?

Make sure if you bleach the bones, you rehydrate them.

Re: some of the tree boas

I'm tearing my house down, so I have to move all my animals out species by species.

Re: some of the tree boas

These are my favorite snakes, too. Ugh, I miss having mine in the house. I had to temporarily move all but a few of my snakes out.

Re: The tegus and iguanas

I believe it! That would freak me out. Luckily none of mine do that, or even if they did, they sleep down in burrows so I wouldn't see it.

Re: The other lizards

How is yours set up? Mine is currently a baby and is in a baby enclosure. It's about four feet long, three feet tall, one and a half feet wide. One third of it is water. How old is yours now?

Re: The tegus and iguanas

My friend's red does that! I've never seen anything like it until he showed me pictures. I was so confused.

Re: The other lizards

Is the basilisk yours? I got one of my own not too long ago, and I haven't found many others who keep them.
