Re: Husband wants a tarantula or scorpion?

Not sure about ordering online, I don't trust my local mail system, and I live out in the boondocks. I'll look around. Thanks!

Re: Husband wants a tarantula or scorpion?

Looks like he really likes the GBB you suggested. I also found the Mexican fire knee. I just told him I was looking into it and he seems pretty happy about it. Now to look into husbandry and prices....

Re: Husband wants a tarantula or scorpion?

Hahaha, not needing to be handled is a plus too. I don't "like" spiders, I just am not scared of them. Creepy Crawlies... aren't my thing. I may have been mistaken about the kind of tarantula my sis...

Re: Husband wants a tarantula or scorpion?

No dusting is definitely a big plus to me! This is a popular place for fishing so I doubt I'll have issues with getting crickets or other bugs. My sister had a rosy toe tarantula (the same sister...

Husband wants a tarantula or scorpion?

Well, my husband likes tarantulas and scorpions... I'm not so into them but... I want him to have something of his own. (I generally head up all the reptiles in the house)

Do you know what might...

Enclosure Size

So I'm looking into doing my own rack system and trying to determine the size of the tubs I'm going to use. I'll be housing multiple species in this so I can't specify which other than that these are...

Re: Speckled Kingsnake Potential?

Thank you so much, I think all I need to do to get plans for a rack system is get sizes set up. I could even stack the baby tubs and switch them out if necessary. I want to be able to hold both...

Thank you so much each one of you. I know I'm not very active here usually but I greatly appreciate the advice. I have begun to itemize what I need to make a suitable rack for speckled kings though I...

Re: Speckled Kingsnake Potential?

Thank you very much for your optimism. I live in the ArkLaMiss area and there is farm land all around my parents', my sister's, and my yards. (All of us live within 10 miles of each other and that's...

Re: Speckled Kingsnake Potential?

I suppose I may just be looking for speckled kings at the wrong times.

I do want to introduce new genetics into the captive trade. Initial cost will be a bit high, yes, though I believe payoff...

Speckled Kingsnake Potential?

I have always loved speckled king snakes and wish there were more of the species in the trade. I know that it is usually looked down upon to wild-capture snakes for pets. HOWEVER, I have been having...

Feeding advice?

I have been growing paranoid about the amounts I'm feeding my dear snakes. I get so many mixed answers. Some places say I should be feeding my adult ball large rats, another says I should be feeding...

Oh my, thank you so much!
