Re: Boa appreciation thread
I don't have a big or female boa, but I love my little guy all the same. He's a bit daft, but I'm pretty sure that's just the boa norm.

Saw these at a expo last weekend, and have been doing research on them for sure thinking one of these might be my second snake.

Re: Boa appreciation thread
I'm thinking one possibility for the Tinley Park NARBC is one or two Madagascar Ground Boas. Love those things!

They went at it like mad at first but are off a bit right now.
Time to pull my male for the weekend and reintroduce Monday.
Temps are good, humidity is perfect, hours of light spot on ect.
Up to them now maybe a little Barry White might help

Ok. Here's some pics of Cloud.
About an hour after a meal.
A quick shot outside.
In his tub.

Re: Boa appreciation thread
I love my little boy Inka. He is a Peruvian Long Tail and gets darker and more iridescent with every shed.

Don't pull the male. The boa breeding process takes a long time. He may have just been stimulating her to develop folicles. She could go into a pre-ov swell at any time. They put off a lot of hormones that keep the process going. Separating after "action" has already taken place is a no-no because it disrupts the cycle imo.
