Re: New snakey!!
So Blitz shed this morning! I Love seeing him shed, I got to watch him starting about half way through. I woke up and did my normal check to see him staring at me with a new fresh face. I am going to feed him tonight and take pics in 3 days. I see more green , some blue and more blackish. His colors are really getting interesting!

Re: New snakey!!
Once He eats and digests I will take pictures. He tried to tag me about 8 times when I cleaned his viv and got the shed/poop out. I wish he wouldn't poop all over his shed. He didn't eat the last 2 weeks due to being in shed. He will calm down a bit after a nice tasty rat.

Re: New snakey!!
You have a very nice looking Chondro! I like getting to see the picture progression of the colour change. Very cool.
One a side note, I think the species has a bad rap for being snappy, delicate, and picky husbandry-wise.
Their spines are super delicate when young, this is VERY true, however, they do firm up a bit with age; handling is not recommended in the first year or a little longer, and of course no animal at any age should be physically removed/ pulled from their perch.
They aren't "easy" to handle, but you definitely can. I've personally handled a number of them without getting struck at and without a fleeing escape attempt... my brother's old one was a "demon" to quote him and I had no serious issues. As another member said, removing the animal with their perch is your best bet, then you can slowly begin to cradle it from under the perch. This is less stressful and less of a threat because predators tend to attack from above rather than below. From here there's a good chance it'll choose to move onto your hand/ arm and voila. They are no ball, but as long as you're calm and move slow and keep in your mind not to approach from above if changing hands etc. you'll be fine.
There is a great video online by Rico Walder from Signal that is very informative when it comes to handling arboreal snakes. I'm not sure I can post a link but it's not too tough to find. It's quite a good little 5 or 10 min watch
Look forward to seeing the change continue!

Yay another snake! If only I could get one. Sorry i'm feeling kinda deppressed about the whole snake matter and at the same time happy that my stupid mid-term tests are over.
