Re: Tried out some paint

The last week i've made what I consider to be my two best pieces to date. I've been really trying to focus on heads, I've always felt that was a weak point of mine. I'm extremely happy with both of these, more then I can say and I can't wait to keep working on my heads and see just how good I can make them!

Re: Tried out some paint

These are awesome! I love the Gaboon.

I ended up trying to make a simple black eyed leucistic ball python and I found head shape to be the most difficult thing, too. I think the clay I tried out was a little too soft, too.

Re: Tried out some paint

Thank you SnoopySnake. Clay can be really hit and miss to work with especially if you work with it to long it gets really soft. Did you end up baking the BEL you made?

Still messing around with heads and decided to try a BCI since I haven't made one in a very long time.

Ooh I love it! If I had the money I would definitely buy some of your work, haha.

Yeah, I ended up baking it, didn't have any glaze though so he kinda got a little messy from just sitting there. I wasn't too fond of how much dust I could see in the white clay, either. lol. I'll have to try again some time soon, though.
