By that time it should be calming down and easier to work with.
Yup yup yup. What she said is exactly what I was thinking. Enjoy. Carpets are great.

Re: Good Active Boa?

I am not fearful of being bit, I hope to find a baby. Idk why but there is just something about having a snake since it was a baby. I doubt it will make any difference with the snake.. Just a personal thing lol But thank you for the warning .

I personally find baby carpet python attitudes hilarious. They are like the chihuahuas of the snake world...tiny and full of p*ss and vinegar! LOL

All my adults are docile and handleable with no problem. I do hook train though; I never put my hand into a snake's cage, without first alerting the animal and partially removing it with a hook. It definitely cuts down on bites and I feel it is less stressful for the snake.

I can't agree more. Something about watching a pet grow old with you just makes you feel all warm and happy. =]

Re: Good Active Boa?

I was reading another thread where a member had a boa for 31 years. He received it at age 12. I thought this was awesome, to many people buy snakes on a whim and they don't realize what kind of comittment it really is.

Re: Good Active Boa?

Both of my snakes (boa and gtp) are super active the minute the light is turned off. I ha e them on 12 hour intervals on and off. And like clockwork, the light goes off the snakes come out. Every night.
