The original poster's California king is an aberrant from the Newport/Long Beach strain of Calikings. Over the years they have been mass produced and line bred to produce such cool patterns like the Bananas........Looks like yours has some of the striped gene as well as the banana gene.......

thank for all the info guys! i held her today with no problems. shes a little weird when i first pick her up but the shes fine.

so now its been a while ive had her. ive been holding her regularly and even when she bites i continue to hold her. yet after her being calm for a day or two she will not stop and now its to the point she bites everytime i try and pick her up. i just wanna hang out with my snake
