Re: My beautiful sav
Does she brutally shake these night crawler side to side?? Or just slurp them up like spaghetti?

Re: My beautiful sav
I love it when they shake them. I only have two who do that, but it's hilarious.

Re: My beautiful sav
Hahaha, I want her to love me! I'm taking my time, I started handling her, for 15 seconds a day, she doesn't hiss or tail whip that's good... Omg I was reading this one site, I'll try and find it again, they said to tame your savannah monitor put it in the bath tub an hour a day and play with it, also drop your cage temps a bit to make it more docile... Wow

Re: My beautiful sav
Yeah, the guy who wrote that accidentally let his monitor drown. He (in his own words) compared himself to a terrorist. Other people who have taken his advice have killed their monitors through drowning.
Please don't do that.
So when you hold her, are her eyes open? Does she use her tongue?

Re: My beautiful sav
Her eyes are open, and she flicks, but it's just picking her up in we enclosure I don't pick her up outside of it, I just lift her from the substrate and put her on the Reyes stack! Taking our sweet time

Re: My beautiful sav
I find the easiest way to pick them up, once you're at that stage, is to guide them with food up your arm, then fold your arm agaisnt your stomach, so their head is in the crook of your elbow and their body is resting on your forearm against your body. This allows them to still feel secure, and it helps them when they can feel "ground" (your arm) beneath them instead of having their legs dangling.

Probably going to embarrass myself, but oh well.
Used to sing little ditties to Chomper all the time.
When certain animals bring out joy and happiness, expressing it can get kinda weird I guess.
