Re: My lap
That's a great looking dog! Most bassets I see are depressed because of neglect to their actual needs... My cat is always in my lap too, sad thing is he's probably as big as that dog... Not a lap cat by any means Lol! You can really see when an animal has made someone their best friend though, clearly that dog has you! Can't get that many face shots otherwise lol. Love the one of him almost sneezing, that's perfect timing. I'll upload a shot of my cat on my lap, just so you can see lol. Mammals are great companions, but its awesome when that one chooses you over anyone else, I think I see that here!

Re: My lap
it does look like an almost sneeze..lol he had juuuust yawned. I love that pic, it's on my desktop!
I seriously have thousands of photos of him.
A lot of bassets get overweight easily. I try to keep him trim. He does have a lot of health issues, unfortunately. I know how that is though, so we support each other

Re: My lap
Hahahaha! He is so cute! My one dog is the same way but he is 60 lbs. It's a little hard to breath when you have a 60 lb dog laying on you. Hahaha!

Re: My lap
omgosh your dog is so damn cute! I'm usually not a fan of small dogs and LOOOVE big dogs but I adore bassets and corgis! I'll have one some day, but 2 labs [50 and 80 pounds!] are good for me right now! lol

Re: My lap
Bowser is a nice healthy 52lbs! His daddy was 75...and not fat...he was HUGE. Bowser was neutered at just barely 4 months old though, so he never got in that puberty growth spurt. I have heard where that is unhealthy for them, but, he also has kept his puppy attitude....he doesn't mark things, hump dogs, and he still pees like a girl *lol*
Here's a photo of Bowser's daddy...Rufus T Firefly III!
This photo is actually the one i saw where i knew i wanted to get a puppy from this breeder, because i loved how Rufus doesn't have a saggy face or eyes like some bassets. He has a puppy face, even though he was 4 when this was taken!
BTW...right next to the box....the one with the triangle on his butt. That's Bowser : )

Re: My lap
I can see why you wanted one of his puppies, he's a good looking dog! I didn't even realize those were puppies in the background until you mentioned bowser was one of them lol.
