Re: My Best Photos
Some very nice shots. Amazed the garters and the other snakes stayed still long enough to shoot. Love the color on the blue garter and the yellow & black boa/python! Neat seeing all the garter ?morphs? -- I've never seen most of them before. Sweet little jumping spider. Surprised you were able to get such a close shot of the solfugid -- they tend to spook very easily.

Re: My Best Photos
Wow, they are all beautiful!!
I especially love the ones of the geckos on the flowers.. are they your pet geckos? I have a feeling if I ever put my Gary on a flower he'd take off and I'd never be able to catch him, he's quite feisty!

Re: My Best Photos
Nice photos. I'm not much into the cool background as you are but here are a few of what I think are my best pictures.
A very mad African Bush Eyelash Viper
Here I tried to use the shadow as an effect on my baby Western Diamondback Rattlesnake
Another of my Western Diamondback Rattlesnakes, with the tongue and tail showing.
My Retic showing off his perfect set of teeth.
Maybe someday I'll get as good as you, but for now I'll take what I call my lucky shots. That means I take about 100 pictures and hope that 1 or 2 come out looking good. Thanks the Lord for digital cameras. lol

Re: My Best Photos
Alessia, that's a white sided black rat snake. I've got one of those at my studio!
Jerry, I love the first picture!

A lot of them are or we're min at some point! ALL of the garters other than a few wild Easterns were part of a massive collection I had at one point.

I think you are talking about the grasshopper with red wings? It was a huge locust we found while in Florida staying for the Daytona expo! It got scared of me and stared threat displaying with its wings!!!

Like is an understatement. I have proudly worked with almost every species/subspecies it's possible to acquire here! I at one time had what may have been the most diverse collection (species wise) in the states!!! I had to give it up for the time being though due to a few personal reasons. Garters are very high maintenance!
