Ty, it is a nice mouth. Always hungry.
Shaun, I give it mouse and rat (one week one, one week another).

Out of curiosity, why do you switch back and forth between mice and rats every week rather than sticking to just rats?

imo,you would be better using rats all the time mate
a lot of carpets get a taste for mice and will not cross over to rats
if your carpet sticks with mice,it takes a lot of them to feed an adult carpet
that said, you do get some carpets who will eat anything you offer them, but personally i would play it safe and keep him on rats
cheers shaun

Re: Twitch - Hypo Jag
Well, in my research in animal nutrition, found some years ago a nutrition tablet with all the compounds of rat and mice. Rats have high protein, tryglicerids and water, but mice get more vitamins in same proportion of rats in weight. If in adults, rats are a must be because of the % weight of the snake, in young they can have easily rat+mice diet and the bonus vitamins that a exclusive rat diet couldnt match. All my young snakes had this diet, even regius (mus musc.+ rattus norvegicus+mastomys natalensis). I think that a diversed diet is more natural and gets less problems. Ofc, noone of them got special tastes that would bring down this diet
