My guy regularly leave bruising on my arms just from holding on calmly - if he actually constricted then i would have no chance of getting him off and he is only aroung 18mth to 2 yr old and barely 5 foot.

yeah, was holding a young adult and I was surprised by just how much power was behind that snake, really impressive. I've held a few full grown boas and carpets and they just didn't seem to have the power that that superdwarf had.
Rob, Travis told me that most of his SDs go through a "terrible 2s" phase where they just push to see how much they can get away with around that age, your guy might be going through something similar.
Jarich, if you want an SD, the prices are very reasonable for such a cool snake and there are some great breeders out there. If I were you I would wait until Spring to make a buy though as winter shipping can be tricky. Harry Wessels and Travis Kubes are probably the two I would go through, otherwise if you're close to NERD (no idea how close you are) you might go check them out too.

Only 40 minutes away from my house.
They give tours on weekends
