Re: Chondro!
I'm ok with having one I can't touch and I won't push that at all. I just want to know how to hook him so that I can clean his cage or move him into a new cage, take to the vet if need be. I understand the hands off approach of this one.
If I want to hold a snake I have a corn and a ball that do very well on being handled a few times a week at most.

Re: Chondro!
Thanks Jenn... I did do a little research in the last few hours and actually emailed a breeder about 15 minutes ago. I am going to stick to mice for my GTP seeing as I have found information on so many get far to over weight on rats.

Re: Chondro!
You wont get mice big enough for an adult and will need t ofeed multiples prey. All you need to do is space out feedings, my guy is every fourteen days at moment but when he stops growing will most likely end up being fed monthly.

Re: Chondro!
big meals are not that good for GTP anyways, GTP are know to get rectal prolapse really easy. And you dont have to feed multiples just feed it more often.

Re: Chondro!
Now im catching myself looking at vivs online.. Im thinking I have to many projects going on to take on another build. Does anyone have any fairly cheap recommendations outside of a tub. I am going to keep him in a tub for now but I would like something nicer to use for maybe a year... then Build what I really want. Im thinking $150 or under just as a semi temporary set up

Re: Chondro!
I used a old dresser for my GTPs cage and it turned out really nice.

Re: Chondro!
Me and my fiancee love to build things but we have a ton of projects going on.. we have to finish building the one for my corn snake and the base cabinet that it will sit on. Then finish building his office in our basement, finish redoing the wiring in the entire house and many other things. I was hopeful to find something on craigslist but it has failed me... lol
In a few weeks I might find something I can turn into one but I would rather just buy it for now.

Re: Chondro!
You can get a boaphile cage I think it's like 175 for a Arboreal Cage.

Re: Chondro!
You could try the Thrift stores like the ARC or Habitat for Humanity. They might have tanks or something that you could easily turn into one, like a small shelving unit, just take out the shelves and put a sliding glass door in front. Good luck!
