Matt - that is a beautiful snake, and if this is what the non-albino of creamsicles turn out like, I might be tempted to get one - very striking coloration.

Hope H - you should post some photos of your creamsicles - I would love to see more of the color range in them --

well....its not a creamsicle, creamsicle is the name given when you have the amel gene mixed in there as well.

as you can see, creams look real different than the "rootbeer"

Glad I was too wussy to venture a guess! All I thought was that there was too much orangey-brown to be a crimson, other than that I had no clue.

Thanks for not keeping me in suspense too long. Thanks also for the great pic of a lovely snake. I have no problem with elaphe hybrids myself. They mix in nature occasionally, right? So what's the problem? It would be different if either species were endangered, but there are plenty of corn and ratsnakes thankfully.
