Since he said the visions are 3ft, then a 3ft vision would probably be able to house a hog island boa. But for one of the larger ones, like a columbian you would need atleast a 4-6ft vision which can get pretty expensive.

Awesome room, can't wait to move and set up some racks!

How do you figure out how much wattage is being used and how much you are paying a month for it?

jparker1167,

It's a stuffed iguana my girlfriend got for me and there is room for about 70 animals to house individually.

EXXXtacy2000,

I agree with sapphire moon, the 3 footers are too small for adult boas but great for big female BP's. I like using Vision cages, if I used melamine cages I would have broken my back by now moving them around.

sapphire moon,

There is ~30' of 11" and ~8' of 4" so about 664 watts total. I also use a room heater so my dimmers controlling the heat tape is never more than 60% "on". I have no idea how much this cost me but I'm sure it nothing compared to what we spend on feeding our dogs.

Incredible room - inspirational - thanks for sharing the photos - now we want to see all the critters once you fill it up!

Ron, great room! That easily rivals some breeding and hatching rooms I've seen in specialty reptile stores. Great job! One question though, what are you thinking of putting in those rubbermaids?

Chris04,

Mostly BP's; males and smaller females will go in the sweater boxes, large females will either go into the Vision cages or the blanket box rack in the second pic.
