That's very sad news. I grew up listening to my parents' Johnny Cash records and have always been a fan. No matter what type of music he was singing, his voice always moved me.

I will always remember John Ritter for his roles in Three's Company and Slingblade.

Wuntu Menny: John Ritter performing live at San Quentin...LMAO!!! How about him doing a rousing rendition of "A Boy Named Sue" :-)

WOW! I had 3 cups of coffe yesterday at work and was harassing all the office by singing Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues over and over and over again. I must have known somehow.

Ritter will always live on in 3's company. I used to love that show as a kid.

Since I don't know when.

I'm stuck in Folsom Prison

Was never a big Cash fan, but watched Threes Company on a regular basis growing up. I was very surprised to hear about of John Ritter's death. May they both rest in peace.

Anyone remember the name of the cop show John Ritter did? I remember it was short lived but i enjoyed it while it lasted.

Wow I can't believe it. JC you were kind of expecting but John Ritter. I remember seeing a video of Robin Williams live from the 70's and he sees John Ritter in the audiance. Well he pulls him up on the stage and they do improve. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen. You sometimes forget that John Ritter was a comidian first and man was he a good one. I really enjoy 8 simple rules......... Not to many good sitcoms left. To Bad.

This is the first time I heard of their passings.... how sad. Like many others, I grew up with my parent's playing Johnny Cash and watching Three's Company. He did a good job in Buffy too (I thought so anyways, some of friends thought it was too against his 'style'). They will be missed, that's for sure.

Yeah John Ritter was a shock to me too. I thought Johnny Cash was dead a while ago and then I saw a video of his on EdgeTv (of all places, i think I still have an 8 Track of him some where). I think I saw the Williams/Ritter encounter some time ago.

start to feel old when all the pop icons you grew up with start dieing off, and it's not like retirment, cause they're not coming back.

That's really sad. I was in absolute shock especially when I found out that John Ritter was one of the two celebrities that passed away. He was too young.

Remember 'Hearts Afire"? It didn't last long but I liked that show too. John played with Markie Post and Billy Bob Thorton in it. We tried to rent "Slingblade" the other night but they didn't have it! Stupid Jumbo.
