I'm putting in my belated thoughts as I wasn't online on the anniversary. 911 was a tragic day. I get into work to see the tragedy playing on our store's TV and for the entire 8 hours of my shift, I sat transfixed on the screen in a state of shock and disgust. I cried very much that day, I couldn't even begin to understand why something that horrible would happen to those innocent people. Even now, I still feel the sadness from the un-needed losses that day. What was further disturbing to me was the treatment of my Muslim neighbours after that day, if anything, they were just as horrified as I was. I spoke with a Muslim woman next door to share comments about the disaster, and she was absolutely disgusted. What was really disturbing, was that at first, she was scared to speak with me at all because she thought I was going to be cruel to her, as she had already recieved vicous verbal attacks upon her and her family. That day affected everyone around the world, and I'm sorry that it happened.

I remember when i watched a re-play of the planes hitting the twin towers and i just though, holy shi*, how the hell where we suppose to see that comeing. i hope the people who did this get what they deserve.... never would i of thought terrorest would be useing planes as human bombs to take out a target...... as what has been said several times over it can never hurt to be said again, my heart goes out to all those affected by this horific attack.

It goes without saying that what happened on September 11 was a tragic loss of innocent life. The people in those towers were, as has been mentioned in this thread, of many different nationalities and religions though it was without a doubt an attack aimed at the United States specifically. The people that organized this attack probably felt it was justified in the context of their twisted logic though it is easy to see that they in fact killed thousands of people that have done them no wrong. Unfortunately some people have managed to harness the anger stemming from this tragedy and manipulate it for their own purposes. The sad reality is that what happened 2 years ago was only the beginning of the senseless slaughter of innocents that has gone on ever since. Without getting into the history or politics of this whole subject and avoiding what may be seen as the bashing of anyone I think it is necessary to say that every murderer feels justified in killing but the murderer is always wrong. It is never the right thing to kill the innocent whether they are in an office tower or in the desert.

This was truly a dark day for the whole world(no offence to our American friends) This beyond a shadow of a doubt proved that no one anywere is fully safe. I was living and working in the U.S and took a job back here in Canada the week before this happened. I will always remember this because I had just set up my T.V. and turned it on and this was the first thing I saw when the picture came on. I almost puked when I saw this and would have no matter were it happened. I still feel for all those that have lost and for all those children that will never know a parent. The terror must be purged from our planet if we are ever to realise our true purpose in the universe. We must put aside our petty differences and become one people one voice. The true test is how we progress from here and in all honesty we generate the future for the next generation lets generate peace for them and their children no more dark days one people under one sun.

that wont offend us americans it was a dark day for the world there many ppl from different countries in those towers there were 300 muslims in there. Terrorisim isnt only a threat to America its a threat to the world.
