looks like you have a pretty good plan already the scales and vines sound awesome, that will tie it all together and the reptiles can be whatever you like. I'm currently getting a sleeve designed with 5 Ontario snakes winding around each other with a New Orleans stonework and wrought iron designs in the background.
btw elbows don't hurt as much as ditches do! have fun

I'm most likely going in next month or so, I may be getting a tribal snake around my arm right above the elbow. I'm starting to run out of room, so, I have to work around what I already have. I have a theme of tribal art on my body already, so, that's why I feel I should go with that style. If I have enough money to get more colouring and detailing, then I may get an ETB wrapped around my arm.

I have not yet decided what to get, but since all of my tats say something about me, and snakes have become my life, it's pretty much set in stone that I WILL get a snake tat of some kind. I just have to wait for a while, decide what I want, draw it myself, and get it done.

My tat was inspired by a few things. Starting about 25 or so years ago, I have reoccuring dreams from time to time about snakes that don't have heads but have human like hands where their heads should be. In the early 80s I painted a painting with these snakes crawling around in various places and have sketched and drawn them many times. ...then for years they were forgotten and as far as I know undreamed of....then the Cure came out with a song called "wrong Number"...lime green lime green and tangerine...the sickly sweet colors of the snakes I'm seeing...LIME green and tangerine...the sickly sweet colors of the devil in my dreams.
Ok...that freaked me out and back came the snake dreams. My original painting was of tan and olive colored snakes...but there were a couple of sketches of orange and green snakes too...so I took one of these sketches to a friend that does tats and he hooked me up. This is my tat:
The knots are knots of unity or working together, not combat and the eye they are holding is a symbol of how they overcome their problem of not being able to see.

Sweet. Where on your body is that? It's very cool. And freaky too... wierd how dreams are like that. ~TR~

Julius - That has got to be one of the coolest concepts I have ever seen for a tat.

Julius...that is an interesting design....at first i thought the hands were two open snake mouths facing each other....i think you've got an optical illusion there!
