Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

She's not a morph then mate she's a locale, which means she's from one of the small islands. I'm not clued up on SD's perhaps if you posted a pick some one maybe able to help you pinpoint where she's from

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

She ate a large FT rat last night before midnight then she shed during the morning hours before sunrise.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

I can definitely see the influence but I'm not too keen on telling apart locales yet. Very nice. How long is she and how much does she weigh? If she was labelled as SD HET RETIC I suppose its possible she has an unknown het but there's no way of knowing unless you breed her.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

She's between 6-7' and last time she let me weight her, she was about 1300 grams, but I'm replacing the batteries before I weigh her again after she discards her last meal.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

With that size at a year old she's definitely not pure, my SD retic is a pure kalatoa and only 3.5-4 ft and about 400g. My male should max 4.5-6ft.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

I just pray she's not pure mainland or I better build her something bigger than the 5'x3'x2' enclosure I'm trying to finish..
She's been knocking out Jumbo Rats with little effort for a while now.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

Like I said I'm not too knowledgeable but that pattern definitely has some SD or dwarf influence. However with that size at a year old I would definitely be prepared for a larger snake. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable in locales can chime in, maybe make a separate post on it.

Re: My 1 yr old Retic seems to be Wheezing

Thank you. I appreciate your help.
My fault for buying her without asking the right questions, but no regrets regardless. She's been a great addition and she likes being handled..
