After having grown up in New England and living in the snow belt of north, central New Hampshire, we moved south about 40 years ago. Now when I go back up there for business, people will sometimes ask if I would ever move back. I always tell them the same thing, "If the Pilgrims had landed in Savannah, Georgia instead of Plymouth Rock, Canada would have been HUGE! They would have said, "Let the French have everything north of Virginia, it's just too cold and snowy to bother with

No thanks. I've shoveled plenty of snow in my time and a fair amount of partly cloudy. I'll stick to south of the Mason Dixon line and when we do get the occasional snow storm, I'll wait it out for a day or two until it all melts.
