Ok great thanks, maybe Ill start trying this but the point of my thread was what substrate to use.

Eco Earth, unmixed, is the wrong choice for any reptile that doesn't require high humidity. A sufficiently hydrated animal should be able to pass small cellulose pieces; if impaction is a concern, feed on a paper plate.
