Eco Earth, unmixed, is the wrong choice for any reptile that doesn't require high humidity. A sufficiently hydrated animal should be able to pass small cellulose pieces; if impaction is a concern, feed on a paper plate.

No snakes "lick". Snakes use their tongues to collect scent particles.

I have eight. I use aspen. Aspen chip, by preference, but shredded aspen is fine. Rosy boas are fossorial snakes and will spend much time burrowed. This is normal and healthy.
