At the recent meeting of the Edmonton Reptile & Amphibian Society, Snakey Acres (Neil) had some pictures that were e-mailed to him from a friend in Calgary.

Attached are some photos of a Colombian boa shortly after swallowing a small rabbit. It appears as though some teeth on her upper jaw hooked the rabbit's feet as it was going down, resulting in the snake completely swallowing its own head! The owner of this boa called me in a panic after this happened, after he successfully pulled the boa's head back out. Luckily, he had a digital camera at his side to capture the boa feeding, so was able to snap off these pics before rescuing her. Anyone else out there ever seen this??
