Re: Is she shedding?
A rat pup seems a little on the small size to me. I just fed my newborn babies there first meal rat pups, I fed 10 of them just to see how many would take, 6 of the ten are gone so the 4 that didn't eat I put in with different ones I will check later.
I will say from the 100 rat pups some were tiny and some were to big for my baby's.

Re: Is she shedding?
Eh... they seem like the right size :P There's always a great sized lump after. I don't know if you mean newborn rats because these have a lot of fur and are about 20-30 grams.
She's 2 months old today and 2 feet.

Re: Is she shedding?
It was just my opinion that's all some might say that a rap pup is to big for a newborn hay.

Re: Is she shedding?
Thanks for the input I was contemplating ordering her wean rats instead but these are the right size for her now.
Can I feed her double so I don't waste these when she grows a bit? Or will that be too much?

Re: Is she shedding?
I don't see a problem with feeding multiples but in the long run if it was me I would feed 1 the right size and save the rest for when you get another snake it will happen lol.

Re: Is she shedding?
I was just looking back on this thread and I found that maybe when I said "rat pups" it made you guys think of rat pinkies?
These are the size I'm feeding her right now [pic from micedirect] :P

Yeah I know, you don't like vermin lol.
But I would keep them as pets if they stayed that way.

Maybe if they didn't smell or bite and stayed like that I'd say they're cute lol
