My king's new trait...

Have any of your kings semed quite calm for five minutes, just sitting there and looking around, and then they decide to go in one direction almost constantly? This is a new trait my 6 month old female albino Cal King(below) has picked up. Does anyone else have a snake like that? Pic is a lil blurry, sorry!

Not exactly the same thing you are describing but I do have some who will sit calm for a few minutes and then just decide to BOLT!

Sweet looking king by the way!

Mine will sometimes hang out for a while and then suddenly want to take off...I usually just hang onto him for a while and then put him back into his home. If he calms down, then I continue to hold him for a while but if he seems stressed then I put him down.

If you put him down right away he might learn that squirming gets him put down so try not to do that. On the other hand, it might be stressfull to be constantly restrained which is what you would have to do if he's trying to take off.

Totally! I always try to have the overall experience a "pleasant" one for both of us. I also try not to put them down right after an escape attempt or a bite attempt. Who knows if they remember things like that, but it can't hurt to play it safe either way

Boy, I wish! My guy stays calm for a few minutes and then musks me, evil little boy.
