Regurge
Khuno ate a pinky mouse on friday, when I went to check his temps before bed last night, he had regurged it. the head and shoulders were totally digested (not there) but the rest was.
I can't figure out WHY he regurged. His temps are perfect. After eating in his tub, he was returned to his viv, and left alone (other than my daily checks) we don't handle him for 2-3 days after eating. He seems fine otherwise.
Any ideas??

Re: Regurge
that sounds crappy. What do I do about that??
And how do I tell?
Do I see how the next feeding goes before worrying too much? This is the first regurge for him ever.

Re: Regurge
alright, I was just going over my feeding schedule and I messed up. I confused Ananta's feeding day for Khuno's and in result Khuno ate 2 mouse pinks 4 days apart.
could this have caused him to regurge??

Re: Regurge
Could've, how old is Khuno? The best way to check is to go to the vet.

Re: Regurge
khuno is 3 mos and about 13-14". (he just shed and I haven't measured him since the shed) I don't have a scale, so I don't know what he weighs, but he looks healthy, no backbone showing or anything.
Since I brought him home in August, he has taken 1 lrg mouse pinky every 6-7 days. This is his first regurge with me (or ever as the breeder sent home detailed feed and shed records)

Re: Regurge
I dunno, my 4 month old corn can take 2 pinkies in a meal without regurgitating.

Re: Regurge
alright, so now I am wondering if it less to do with how much food was in his tummy and more to do with 2 food items at different stages of digestion??

Re: Regurge
My little female columbian rainbow regurged once. I couldn't figure out why and two days later she shed. Then she ate fine after the shed and has ate fine, now she won't eat and looks a little dull, so I'm thinking she is about to shed again. My smallest corn Juno ate 2 times a week up until last week to get some weight on him because he was a slow starter and he did fine on 2 times a week. No regurg. I would'nt worry too much about one regurge. Give him a little time unless he is acting out of character or seems sick. After Niobe's regurg, I gave her a week, during which she shed, and she ate fine and kept it down a week later.

Re: Regurge
It's quite possible that that is what caused it to happen. If he's been eating fine since birth and has grown then it most likely isn't internal parasites. He would have wasted away by now.
I would attempt to feed him a smaller meal for his next meal though and wait an extra couple days before trying. It'll allow his stomach to replace all the gut flora it lost in the regurge.
