Sliding Shelf Cabinet

Being one of my more difficult, but rewarding projects, I would like to share it with you all...

About a year ago I was contemplating building some wood enclosures for our growing collection. We have 4 cats, 3 of which are mischievous Bengal brats which love to hang out around and on the glass tanks. However, in order to make use of our 20L Critter Cages I came up with a design for a sliding shelf cabinet.

It was a bit of a pain to build as I ran into quite a few issues. I used corner brackets to hold the shelving board together which affected the dimensions of the shelves, as well it was my first time working with drawer slides, so I ended up having to do a lot of recutting. I don't think I'd go through the effort again, but it turned out alright and is still working fine today.

Re: Sliding Shelf Cabinet

Nice setup, our cats like lying on top of our vivs above the ceramics too. Thankfullymwemhave wooden vivs so not an issue!
