shedding?

today i chucked in a live mouse wtih my non eating snake but it didnt take...a friend brought me over the mouse to try....but evidently, i took the mouse out after it was biting the snake and noticed that the snakes eyes were slate blue...solid! Does this mean its in shed?

Yes. The eyes will clear up and it will shed a few days later.

From my experience with kings, milks and corns, once I noticed the eyes were blue it would be 3 - 5 days. It seems to take a bit longer with balls. Give your snake enought water to soak in, or better yet, a humid hide box. Take a plastic container, like a zip-lock sandwich container, and cut a hole in the top for access. Take a fist full of paper towels, soak them in luke warm water and put them in the container. Place the lid on the box and put it on the hot side of the enclosure and count the days...

Your snake will look awesome just out of shed. It's worth the wait!
