Injury

I just noticed today that one of my baby crocs had a small would on the tip of it's mouth. It is begining to have a slight infection.

I took it out of the aquaruim and placed it in a dry rubbermade container with no water. Then I applied some betadine and skin antibiotics 3x a day. My question is am I doing the right thing? Should there be water in the container? or should I just put him in the water for ashort period of time then bring him back again to a dry place
