Where will your herps be when you're gone?
I haven't seen anyone mention it, so I'm curious.
Does everyone have arrangements in place to make sure that your herps are taken care of or found good homes if you are seriously injured or killed?
Sure it sounds morbid, but I was wondering who has thought that far ahead. I don't think my family would have any idea what to do with a reptile collection unless I specifically left documents outlining a list of responsible owners they could be given to.
So who's thinking ahead?

i think about that sometimes, and i'm only 17, there just thoughts that run through my head cause you never know when you'll go. but i would like my closest herp loving friends and family to have them. if any of them dont get taken i just hope my friends and family will not just give them away but would find them very good homes

Dude, as someone who deals with severe depression I get ya there. Just remember that today really sucks, and tomorrow may suck even worse, but there's always next week. And a lot can change in a week

We have everything worked out. Most are to be sold off, a select few are going to specific people, and a couple my wife would keep. I am glad the Life Insurance company never asked if I have any hobbies

I did this thread a while back... most people just assumed their family would take care of them or take them to the pet store. My folks wouldn't know what to do with them with out instructions.
My folks know who to contact should something happen to katey and I.

My boyfriend is the only one that knows how to care for them (but he's not into it nearly as much as me), so he will be taking them over if I die - and he could sell them if he so desired.
